What is CrossFit?


UnMarked is a community of like minded people. We focus on education, motivation and fun. By having a community that’s around you, cheering for you and pushing you, it makes it so much easier and natural to push yourself and achieve the results you wouldn’t otherwise achieve without the community.

CrossFit UnMarked is a community of athletes striving to improve our health and fitness through high intensity training ( based on individual ability) that incorporates functional movements ( Power = Work / Time) that are varied (routine is the enemy. These skills, combined with nutrition and community can help you achieve your goals and get the best results from our training.

CrossFit to us means being a well-rounded athlete. CrossFit UnMarked utilizes the 10 physical skills (ie: stamina, strength, power, associated with CrossFit and focuses on quality of movement and technique. Proper technique will help prevent injury be a more efficient mover, therefore increase the longevity of your CrossFit career.

The true definition of CrossFit begins with a belief in fitness. The aim of CrossFit is to forge a broad, general and inclusive fitness. We have sought to build a program that will best prepare trainees for any physical contingency — not only for the unknown, but for the unknowable.

After looking at all sport and physical tasks collectively, we asked what physical skills and adaptations would most universally lend themselves to performance advantage. Capacity culled from the intersection of all sports demands would quite logically lend itself well to all sport. In sum, our specialty is not specializing.
